I-CAR Australia Gold Class Coordinator Gary Wood today announced that Country Smash Repairs in Busselton, Western Australia and Sommerville Smash Repairs in Nerang, Queensland have been awarded the prestigious I-CAR Gold Class Collision status.
“The team at Country Smash Repairs has earned their Gold Class accreditation by fully committing to the training program we developed for them in July last year. The online virtual classroom sessions have allowed them to participate in regular training, which has resulted in them achieving Gold Class status in such a short period of time. Well done to everyone involved,” said Wood.
“Country Smash Repairs is both proud and excited having attained the coveted status of I-CAR Gold Class. Our team can now stay at the forefront of modern vehicle repair and further enhance their hard-won skills, for which our management team can thank I-CAR for their well-structured training program” explained Neralie and Elliot Poole.
“Chris Agnew of Sommerville Smash first approached us just over 12 months ago with an interest in becoming Gold Class accredited. Following the training plan created for them, they have been regular participants in virtual training sessions and have been a pleasure to deal with. I look forward to continuing the relationship with Chris and the team” said Wood.
“We at Sommerville Smash are reaping the rewards of the training thus far, as this knowledge is shared among our staff members. We have found that the deeper our staff move into training, the more engaged they have become as they all enjoy sharing knowledge and seeing their achievements. Our journey has been made more achievable by the many training modules on offer, virtual training has been a Godsend not to mention the diverse level of courses on offer to all departments of our trade. We thank all the I-CAR team for their assistance throughout the journey, and a special thanks to Axalta Coating Systems,” said Chris Agnew.
“The Gold Class status is the highest level of accreditation within the I-CAR Professional Development Program, it will ensure Country Smash Repairs and Sommerville Smash have the knowledge and capabilities to meet the challenges of modern vehicle technology” concluded Wood.
