Turning passion into a career gateway

They love the chrome and the paint jobs, the hot cars and hot rods but are they ready for a lifelong devotion to restoring vehicles to a like-new condition?

This is what the collision repair industry’s leading advocacy body on the skills shortage, the ACIA, is hoping as a way of tapping into more than 30,000 motoring enthusiasts who flow through the gates of the showgrounds at one of Australia’s biggest car shows this weekend.

The ACIA will have a stand at the MotorEx show as the next step in its strategy to raise the profile of careers in the repair industry and enhancing the perception of the rewards and diversity of these career pathways.

Meguiar’s MotorEx show, held at the Melbourne Showgrounds on May 4 and 5, covers 40,000 square metres and features more than 700- vehicles with a collective value of over $50 million dollars.

Like the recently completed Collision Repair Expo 2024 it also attracts major exhibitors from the aftermarket sector and almost 10,000 people already involved in the automotive sector.

The show will be open from 4-5 May, 2024, Saturday: 9am – 4pm and Sunday: 9am – 4pm

At the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Rd, Ascot Vale.

Tickets for spectators are $70 for a single day or $90 for a weekend pass.
