The Workplace Diversity Project

NCR WorkWell

Funded by WorkSafe’s WorkWell Mental Health Improvement Fund, Tradeswomen Australia is piloting an industry-first program designed to improve the mental health and wellbeing of automotive businesses (heavy and light vehicles) through diversity and inclusion. The program, called Workplace Diversity Project, aims to support businesses to create environments that embrace diversity and inclusion through their recruitment, employee support, and workplace practices

Through the project, we will engage with the industry to support businesses with the recruitment of women and other diversity groups, the education of supervisors on the benefits of diversity in their workforce through mentoring and measure the positive impact of diversity on culture.

During September we will run round tables for the Workplace Diversity Project, sessions which will be with people working in the automotive industry, stakeholders, and women currently working in the trade. During these sessions, we will be gathering feedback and insight into the barriers workshops and the automotive industry face when it comes to the positive mental health of employees, diversity, and overall workplace culture.

This feedback will enable us to develop a customised program to support workshops during the current and future climate that will support the automotive industry to thrive and create an industry white paper reporting on these issues.

Registration is open for each of the following sessions.
