The longstanding relationship between Team Penske and PPG began back in 1984 and, with shared philosophies making it stronger year-by-year, it’s now one of the most enduring collaborations in all of motorsport.
Today, PPG not only supplies refinish coatings for Penske Corporation’s racing operations, it also provides them for the company’s truck leasing and automotive collision repair subsidiaries. In a recent announcement, the two organisations once again formally renewed their partnership which includes PPG sponsoring Team Penske’s No. 2 Chevrolet, featuring the colourful new PPG livery unveiled in 2021. The car will be driven by two-time NTT Indycar Series champion, Josef Newgarden, in eight races this season, says Roger Penske, Founder and Chairman, Penske Corporation.
