Save the dates! Capricorn to host “Futures Collide II” in August

Following the inaugural Futures Collide Repair Conference’s overwhelming success in 2019, Australasia’s largest automotive cooperative, Capricorn, has announced that Futures Collide II will be held in August 2022, in both Perth and the Gold Coast.

This highly informative event will connect collision repairers with a host of industry specialists and suppliers who will share their knowledge relating to current and topical local and international industry issues, technological advancements, product developments and the growth opportunities that exist for repairers and industry stakeholders.

The Futures Collide II Conference will once again be headlined by Mike Anderson, former owner of US-based Wagonwork Collision Centres and the current owner of CollisionAdvice, a leading industry research, reference and consulting business.

Anderson is an Accredited Master Automotive Manager (AMAM) through the Automotive Management Institute (AMi). He also participates in the development of the Collision ASE testing for technicians and estimators in the USA and is fully certified in all Collision categories for ASE.

CollisionAdvice facilitates 20 groups all across North America and has been selected by several OEM’s such as Toyota-Lexus, Nissan-INFINITI, Honda-Acura, Porsche, Stellantis and others to provide their factory training in regard to estimating, scanning and calibrations. He also produces a quarterly summary of the latest trends and statistics in the US for the Collision Industry and conducts quarterly surveys of over 28,000 collision repair professionals regarding Insurer reimbursement, known as “Who Pays for What”.

Anderson was so impressed with the response to Futures Collide in 2019 that he locked the Futures Collide II Conference into his schedule of training obligations and advisory board responsibilities across North America to once again play a major role at Capricorn’s headline event. He will discuss leading collision repair business management and cutting-edge operational techniques from which every delegate will learn something and is guaranteed to keep you entertained.

Importantly, this Capricorn event is open to all collision repair industry stakeholders, not just Capricorn members. The key focus of this event is to provide support “from the industry, for the industry”. It is all about the sharing of information, business networking and education.

The Perth event will be an intensive seminar held at Optus Stadium. It will start late morning on 16 August 2022, giving time for delegates to meet with sponsors before the start of the sessions.

The main event is being held at the Gold Coast Conference and Expo Centre on 19 and 20 August. A cocktail reception and excellent value corporate accommodation rate ensure that collision repairers can enjoy a weekend on the Gold Coast while learning more about optimising their business operations.

“We look forward to welcoming collision repairers from across the country as well as our New Zealand industry colleagues to the conference. The rate of change taking place in our industry with technology, materials, techniques, and management requires effective business operators to be informed and updated. This event is all about achieving this with minimum business downtime,” said Brad Gannon, Capricorn CEO, Automotive.

Registration information will be announced soon, so save the dates.
