The SAPE Group has announced that it has acquired Peninsula Paint Supplies, the Central Coast’s leading automotive refinishing supplier.
Peninsula Paints was founded in 1992 initially as a Wattyl-Spartan distributor, and then in 1999, became a Glasurit distributor for the Central Coast, adding to its existing portfolio of premium brands. In June 2011, the team at Peninsula relocated to new, larger premises at West Gosford to accommodate anticipated business growth and the planned expansion of its distribution network.
Commenting on the acquisition, Paul McMartin SAPE Director said: “We are very pleased to have concluded negotiations to acquire Peninsula Paints and are really looking forward to welcoming Tom and his team into the wider SAPE family. They run an incredible business with the highest of standards – a perfect fit with our ethos and current vision for the company.”

With this acquisition, the SAPE Group now expands its Australian operations to include branches in Sydney, Newcastle, Gosford, Canberra, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, as well as through affiliate and reseller channels in other parts of Australia and even into New Zealand.
