MTA NSW signals major concerns over mobile safety inspection trial

Motor Traders’ Association of NSW (MTA NSW) CEO, Stavros Yallouridis, has signalled several significant concerns after the NSW Government’s recent announcement to trial mobile safety inspections for cars, motorcycles, boat trailers and caravans.

 “On behalf of our members, the Association has major concerns that the trial announced could have adverse effects on public safety and a detrimental impact to their small businesses in relation to how these Mobile Inspections will be conducted,” These major concerns include:

“The Association has outlined its safety and operational concerns to the Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, Melinda Pavey, and has requested to meet with the Minister to discuss these matters.”
