Meguiar’s MotorEx, Australia’s largest and most prestigious elite car show, is pleased to announce that car entries and spectator tickets will go back on sale 9 December for the 20th MotorEx, Melbourne Showgrounds 6 and 7 February, 2021.

While the event had originally been rescheduled for May 2020, restrictions meant birthday celebrations were postponed. Despite the delay, event participants remained committed to MotorEx, and excitement has been growing around the re-release of competitor and spectator tickets.

Meguiar’s MotorEx showcases the country’s best elite-quality cars, a huge trade show, hundreds of modified street cars and incredible driving demonstrations featuring some of Australia’s best drifters. And, for the first time in show history, the madness of the Burnout Masters are coming to let loose some outright tyre destruction!

Andy Lopez, promoter of MotorEx said: “For the MotorEx team and the Melbourne car community, what an awesome feeling to announce we’re on! We’ve submitted a comprehensive COVID management plan to Vic Health based on the delivery of safe and successful Red CentreNATS in the Northern Territory and Burnout Masters in Sydney. The Showgrounds is going to hum with hundreds of beautiful cars and fantastic businesses.”

“The excitement in the auto business community is fantastic. I can’t thank our major partners Meguiar’s, Rare Spares, Shannons, Milwaukee and Bursons enough for sticking with us throughout what’s been a pretty ordinary year for events. MotorEx in summer. People have been working really hard on their cars. We’ll have more than 800 amazing cars on site and a record 20 unveils locked in. We are ready to have fun.”

Meguiar’s MotorEx will continue its commitment to helping nurture the skilled trade professionals of the future with the Flying Spanners competition taking place in 2020. Teams of TAFE students will be tearing down and rebuilding motors against each other and the clock. Flying Spanners is also a fantastic opportunity for students to network with key players in the automotive industry and learn from the very best in the business.

The MotorEx COVID-Safe plan submitted to the Victorian Department of Health fell under the Tier 2 event category allowing for up to 5000 people per day, so tickets will be strictly limited and go on sale 9 December.
