Leadership change at 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division Australasia

NCR Andrew King

After 4 years leading the 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division Andrew King is making a move to take on the position of Group Business Manager ANZ for the Commercial Solutions Division and Transportation Safety Division at 3M.

This change is aligned to recent 3M Corporate announcements regarding the global realignment of their businesses and the move from five business groups to four, which are: Healthcare, Consumer, Safety & Industrial and Transportation & Electronics.

This new structure has been further refined in Australia and New Zealand with the combined business groups of Safety & Industrial and Transport & Electronics (SITE) under the leadership of Chris Le Blanc as General Manager. These changes have been implemented to better serve the key markets and customers into the future

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time managing the AAD Business and engaging with the Collison Repair Industry and our customers with a great team of 3Mers who are passionate and committed to the business,” said King.  “Personally, it has been rewarding to gain an understanding of the market and leveraging the 3M solutions that we have available to assist in driving mutual business growth. It has also been great gaining a greater appreciation of automotive industry and working with cars.”

Effective 1st June 2019, Anthony Borg has taken on the role of Business Manager Automotive Aftermarket Division in Australia & New Zealand. Borg was previously Business Manager for the Commercial Solutions Division as well as other leadership roles within 3M.

King will be in Auckland for the 3M Open Day on the 19th June and will also attend the upcoming Auckland Speedshow with 3M Global Brand Ambassador Chip Foose to help facilitate a smooth transition.
