Ford Australia announces the winner of the 2021 Ford Ranger FX4 MAX

Since March this year, Ford Trade Club Members have had the opportunity to win a 2021 Ford Ranger FX4 MAX which, with a suite of standardised tech features, makes a very powerful statement!

In mid-November, Paul Roberts, Parts and Sales Zone Manager and Kely Barcia, Trade Sales Development Manager at Ford Australia, were joined by Mick Turner, Parts General Manager and Veronica McCann, Sales Manager at AMCAP, the state distributor for genuine Ford parts and accessories in Western Australia, to surprise the winner of the 2021 Ford Ranger FX4 MAX in the national Ford Trade Club competition.

Brothers John and Fred Lombardi, directors of Modern Collision Repairs in Landsdale (which is part of the Lombardi Investment group) were the winners of the grand prize out of the 86,000 eligible entries.

“We thought it was unusual when we saw both Ford and AMCAP turn up “for a meeting”, and when they told us that John and Fred had won a competition with such a great vehicle as the grand prize, it really took us by surprise,” said General Manager, Amanda Lombardi.

“It didn’t quite register at first but when it began to sink in, John Lombardi was almost speechless. We have only ever used genuine parts throughout the Lombardi Group, so it feels a bit like a ‘thank you’ from Ford. However, I would really like to thank Ford Australia for making this possible – it’s such a wonderful surprise.”

The “Win a Ford” Ford Trade Club program has been running for four years. It is designed to encourage the use of new genuine Ford parts sourced from authorised Australian Ford Dealers. Ford reminds us that new genuine Ford parts have been used to build your car and have been made or selected by Ford and rigorously tested as an integral component of the vehicle to meet high quality, safety and performance standards. This ensures that your Ford will drive, function and protect you the way it was intended. And they fit right first time, ensuring installation time is optimised.

The FX4 MAX is fitted with 2” monotube FOX shocks, giving the off-road tuned front and rear suspension increased travel and overall ride height, allowing you to take it anywhere. This suspension has been crafted to soak up punishing impacts and smooth out bumps and ruts with ease while still providing comfortable on-road driving characteristics.

Fitted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain Tyres with 17” bolder grey alloy wheels, the FX4 MAX provides superior handling off the beaten track, with the all-terrain tyres boasting a precise tread pattern and tougher side walls than standard factory tyres. This is combined with the newly designed 17” alloy wheels, featuring a +42mm offset for a 26mm increase in wheel track width to provide greater stability in unforgiving terrain.

The F-O-R-D Grille and long-legged tubular sports bar create an athletic profile that demands a second look, and the off-road side steps are built to carry you wherever adventure calls. They feature a non-slip finish, providing off-road styling and functionality without sacrificing ground clearance. With Ranger FX4 MAX’s unique embroidered leather accented seats with Miko suede inserts, contrast stitching and carbon-look accents, going off grid has never been this comfortable.

“Work Hard, Play Rough” is not just a catch cry with the FX4 MAX, as it really does satisfy your need for adventure with exciting 4X4 capabilities providing a thrilling off-road experience. This off-road pick-up truck provides you with the confidence to take on undiscovered parts of the world. But when you go, don’t forget to load up. Ranger FX4 MAX features 3.5 tonne towing and 981kg payload capacity so you can bring all of your toys.

It’s no wonder the winners were so impressed!
