Fix Auto UK acquires ailing franchise

NCR Fix Auto

Fix Auto UK announced it has acquired the Fix Auto Paignton site after the business had fallen victim of the coronavirus pandemic and became insolvent. The purchase has added to the portfolio of businesses as part of Fix Auto UK’s owned site operations comprising of Fix Auto Daventry, Fix Auto Colwyn Bay, Fix Auto Barnsley, Fix Auto Crawley and Fix Auto Paignton. In addition, the network also has a majority share in Fix Auto Goole.

Prompt action by Fix Auto UK has secured the site and its employees, with Fix Auto UK assuming responsibility for Fix Auto Paignton’s employees and lease. The acquisition will protect the long-term future for employees within the business and continue to represent the Fix Auto brand in Paignton.

The repair centre was primarily operated as one of the network’s Fix & Go express repair facilities and will now be converted into a structural repair centre. The location will have all the capabilities to accommodate heavy repairs for both cars and long wheel-base vans.

Fix Auto UK’s Managing Director Ian Pugh said: “These uncertain times have undoubtedly impacted the operations in Plymouth and Paignton, along with so many other businesses in the UK. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to secure both locations. However, I am pleased to have been able to acquire Fix Auto Paignton and safeguard the future for the team in this franchise.”
