‘Exceptional workplace’ added to list of plaudits for PPG

Global coatings giant PPG’s campaign to get its reputation noted appears to be paying off, with more recognition rolling in for its sustainability moves and as a preferred place to work.

The key supplier of automotive finishes and services to the repair industry across the globe, was recognised again in the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, for its high employee engagement and notable workplace experience.

The award recognises high-performing companies that align their business strategies around employees. PPG received the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award for successfully embedding involvement and enthusiasm in its workplace culture to improve each stage of the employee lifecycle.

“Our employee culture and alignment with our purpose – We protect and beautify the world – is something we pride ourselves on at PPG,” PPG Global Head of Talent said Brenda Broad says.

“We recognise the value of engaged teams and understand that to generate the most success we must first create a nurturing environment with opportunities for growth and engagement. This award directly reflects the results of the hard work of all of our teams and the important investments PPG has made in our more than 50,000 employees around the world.”

Newsweek list

PPG was also recognised on Newsweek’s ‘Most Trustworthy Companies in America 2024’, a list that ranks 97,000 companies across the US in 23 industries with revenues exceeding US$500 million.

PPG ranked 19 in the chemicals and materials section.

“This recognition reinforces PPG’s reputation as a trusted company that values its customers, employees and investors,” PPG Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Bryan Iams says.

“We pride ourselves in not only producing high-quality products and services for our customers but also providing our global network of more than 50,000 employees with safe, healthy, and fulfilling work environments.”

The two latest listings follow recognition for the Pittsburgh based company that in an array of media lists that identify and deliver on workplace values. These incude;
