1964 VOLKSWAGEN KOMBI Type 2

Respectfully restored, garaged and used for day trips.

Exterior restoration:
2011 bare metal restoration - Minimal rust removal required.
Resprayed to original paint colour (Polar White).
Chrome Hub Caps, and restored bumpers (white).
Straight and clean body and gutters - no dings or blemishes.

Mechanical:
4sp Manual.
Original 6v configuration.
Exchange engine installed (genuine 1500) 1970s.
Jul-2011: Engine restored: disassembled and cleaned and painted; filters, gaskets and seals replaced; new tail pipe.
Oct-2020: all 4 wheel Brake cylinders, linings, drums.

Interior retrofit:
Apr-2021: functional refit: cupboard, table, kitchen drawer, luggage rack, under seat storage, centre facing seats collapse onto table for double bed, wall and ceiling linings, timber floor, review mirror, visors.
Oct-2000: Upholstery: Front seats and back seat cushions recovered.
Original fittings retained: Front Seat belts, steering wheel, gear stick, ABC pedals, etc.
Original windows, rubbers replaced.
