OVERDRIVE MKII WITH RE-BUILT ENGINE

The MG B is one of the most popular and iconic sports cars of all time, blessed with simple and reliable mechanicals and easily available spare & performance parts. Built Between 1968 and the early months of 1970, the 'Pre L' MkII MG B is known as the market's favourite. This is due to the combination of the MkII's mechanical upgrades, including a stronger All Synchro gearbox and optional Overdrive, and the early uncompromised styling.

This Australian built MkII presents as a tidy example finished in Red with classic Black interior. The cockpit interior is in good condition for its age, also fitted with a Kenwood cassette player/radio and Smiths heater making this MG B an absolute pleasure to drive any time of the year. The weather equipment includes both a soft top hood and a tonneau cover in original style black vinyl.

The 'B' drives well, benefiting from a comprehensive engine re-build by The Healey Factory in early 2022 with the engine and gearbox providing strong period performance, whilst the Overdrive allows effortless highway cruising ability. MG B's are renowned for their light and precise rack and pinion steering and this example is no different.

If you are looking for a classic British sports car for your weekend jaunts to the peninsula, the winding roads of the Dandenongs, a visit to your favourite coffee spot, then this MGB MkII may be the one for you.
