1992 HSV MALOO VP

The VP Maloo started as a Commodore 'S' Ute with a V8, then HSV went to work adding all of the GOOD... GO FAST... STUFF... that makes them so sought after. The HSV powertrain is the classic Aussie-built 5.0L V8 Petrol Engine. VP HSVs saw the introduction of independent rear suspension (IRS) and a limited-slip diff (LSD) as standard issues in these models.

In total, there were 1964 vehicles manufactured in the whole VP Range. But only 165 HSV VP examples were produced. The low build figures confirm that the VP Maloo Utility Series, as having the lowest production numbers of all the utes series-

o 10 x HSV VP MALOO UTILITY were built in Alaskan White with Manual Transmission.
15 - HSV VP MALOO 5TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION in two-tone Galaxy Blue with Panorama Silver lower body.
8 x HSV VP MALOO UTILITY- UNIQUE ALL BLACK LIMITED EDITION Finally in May 1993 HSV built the last 8 black utes, before moving on to developing the next model - The VR Maloo.
