Description
2 Owners, Non Smokers, No Accidents or Flood, Matching Numbers, Genuine Low Kilometres.
It still has the original Dealer stickers in the side windows and an aluminium tag from the production line, hanging from the front of the engine bay.
Completely restored and repainted (engine was removed and refitted). Period original restoration right down to the shade of tint. Over $30k in restoration receipts. The Bathurst Globe rims are resting on Bridgestone Supercat 205's on the front and 215's on the rear. The van has the 4.1 litre, 250 cross flow engine paired with a 3 x speed manual column shift.
All the fluid, filters, hoses, fan belt, leads, plugs, points, rotor cap, rotor button and brakes have been replaced. The battery is new as is the connections. These were originally a bolt through terminal connection. It now has a standard connection and gets more starting amps. A handbrake cable has been custom made and replaced, new harmonic balancer, universal joints, fuel pump and the carby was rebuilt.
All new rubber kit including custom rubbers for the side windows, new shockies. The stereo speakers have been replaced and fitted in the dash where the original speakers were. The factory stereo had dry solder joints, these have been repaired. Some items on the van had to be repaired or replaced simply due to age.
This vehicle has the original owners manual / service book / Ford keys (including glovebox and aerial), some original registration papers, sales brochure and the original green and white QLD number plates. The van belonged to a family friend that only used it fortnightly, right up until they stopped driving.
The personal plates currently on the van will be sold with it and the remaining portion of the registration to Queensland buyers only. The personal plates are dedicated to the van, it's a March 1990, last of the X F Vans.
It's a finished project for me and I don't have time to exhibit the vehicle at car shows or clubs. It has standard Queensland registration.
This van is essentially a museum piece for the collector. It could be used as a daily driver and runs solid. I'm not aware of another period original example that has only travelled 70,000 odd genuine kilometres.
Phone enquiries only, I won't respond to text messages or emails. No swaps.
