Description
The XF Falcon was the last of the square Falcons that kicked off with the XD model back in 1979. Launched in 1984, Ford sold almost 280,000 XFs during its three-year reign. For sale in Singleton, NSW is this stunning top of the line XF Fairmont Ghia in Sno White with only 71,253 kilometres on the clock.
At the top of the XF family tree was the Fairmont Ghia. Gone was the V8 engine and in its place the EEC-IV electronic engine management system that better controlled the spark and fuel for improved fuel economy and drivability. The heads had larger intake valves and new high swirl combustion chambers that also contributed to the better fuel consumption. Three sixes were offered with the new 4.1-litre EFI engine, with 120kW at 4000 revs the pick of the bunch. Standard with the EFI engine was automatic transmission, four-wheel discs and power steering.
For sale is this super low mileage example of the XF Fairmont Ghia. Originally sold by Bayford Motors of Preston, Victoria on the 30th of December, 1985, the car has been sparingly used and presents in near showroom condition throughout. In stunning original acrylic Sno White with totally original Fawn velour trim, this stand out example is totally original and unmolested and features factory working climate controlled Air conditioning, power windows, power steering, central locking, electronic dash and cruise control. The car features the factory Pioneer radio/cassette player and electric aerial. The velour trim is in perfect condition as is the carpet and dash.
On the exterior the Ghia was differentiated from the lesser Fairmont model with the Hella driving lights, Snow Flake 15" alloy wheels and Ghia badging. All these items are still in their place and are all operational.
This is an exceptional example of the XF model and comes with the original owners log books and manuals, two sets of keys, the original Owners Guide plus a spare wheel/tyre and tools.
