The Austin Healey 100, Released in 1952 became an Instant Success with its Stylish Lines, Sketched by Gerry Coker, these Lines Remained the Styling Basis for Big Healeys Until Production Ceased in 1967. To many Enthusiasts the Original Austin Healey 100 Powered by the 2660cc Austin 4 Cylinder Engine Remains the Purest of Donald Healey's Creations.
Well Presented, this Australian Delivered, 1955 BN1 is Finished in the classic duo-tone of Red/Black with 72 Spoke Chrome Wire Wheels and Lucas P700, Tripod Headlights. The Contrasting Black Cockpit Interior, is Further Highlighted by Period Style Red Piping and a Motolita Derrington Wood-Rimmed Steering Wheel while the Weather Equipment is as Original, with a Tonneau Cover and Soft Top Hood in Black Vinyl. The Black Flash on the side of the bodywork has been done in Black Vinyl Wrap so that it can be easy removed if an all Red BN1 is desired.
Built on the 11th of March 1955, this Healey was First Registered 10th August 1955 in Victoria to Barrie J. Fisher of Sunshine/Northcote with the Registration Number GJN-874 according to the Original Documents accompanying the Healey. The Healey was Modified and Tuned by Bill Clemens of Clemens Sporting cars in Hughesdale for Competition Events, and was Raced from September 1956 till May 1957 with an Article in 'Sports Car World' in May 1957 Stating it was 'One of The Fastest Healey Hundreds in Australia'. The ownership history since then is well documented with a total of 7 owners over its 68 years.
