Global coatings giant PPG has reinforced its credentials as the paint supplier of choice for valuable machinery with a new award.
US based company PPG has won the 2024 Supplier Excellence Award from Caterpillar Inc.
In a statement PPG said the coveted award demonstrates the company’s commitments to a leading brand that has a global presence across multiple industries.
Right time, right place
PPG Senior Vice President for the Strategic Procurement and Planning Division Pam Heminger says winning the award demanded they meet or exceed Caterpillar’s rigorous requirements and achieved world-class certification levels under its Supplier Excellence programming from May 2023 through June 2024.
“Caterpillar’s ability to manufacture is dependent on the strength, efficiency and effectiveness of the entire supply network, end-to-end,” Heminger says.
“Our customers build a better, more sustainable world when our strong supply network helps ensure we provide our customers the products they need at the right time, the right place and at the right cost.”
First win
