Capricorn lends a hand to Australia’s farmers

Australasia’s largest automotive parts buying cooperative, Capricorn, comprising of almost 20,000 automotive businesses located across Australia and New Zealand, is lending a helping hand to Australia’s farmers.

There are few who would be unaware that Australia’s farmers are experiencing extreme financial hardship as one of this country’s most damaging droughts spans several major farming communities. Australia relies on its farmers for the fresh, premium quality food that sustains us. During this time of major financial duress caused directly by the severe lack of rain, donations to assist rural families in need are essential.

According to Capricorn Group CEO Greg Wall, “This is Capricorn’s automotive community reaching out to Australia’s farming community and by collecting donations from our members we hope to make a real difference for the many struggling families on the land at this time.”

Capricorn has elected to donate funds to the Country Women’s Association (CWA) of New South Wales and Queensland, with all donations gained to be evenly divided between both CWA branches.  The CWA are deeply embedded in the affected communities and have the experience and knowledge to support those most in need. The organisation is self-funded, non-partisan and non-sectarian.
