B&A Motor Body Repairs – Holden’s first cab off the rank

NCR Holden B&A

When you are the first to achieve something, no matter how many times it is repeated, no one can ever change the fact that you were the first. And so it was the way at B&A Motor Body Repairs on a wet and windy Melbourne day in the middle of July.

B&A became Australia’s first ever Holden Certified Collision Repairer and was presented with a plaque by Michael Filazzola, Aftersales Director, General Motors International. In taking time out from his busy schedule, Filazzola said that Holden Australia was leading the way in the region and the certified collision repairer network was a key initiative that will perpetuate the longevity of the Holden brand.

Filazzola added that General Motors’ commitment to proactively setting the standard through their “test and learn” workshop in the US, where they work to develop a “total cost of ownership” incorporating maintenance and repair estimates for a cost-conscious customer base.

Dominic Mazzeo, son of co-founder Alfredo, said that B&A Motor Body Repairs has built its reputation on quality and customer service, a business principle that has been handed down from the founders, his father Alfredo and uncle, Bill Mazzeo. “We have built a business based on family values and a commitment to developing long-term partnerships, such as we have with Holden. We are absolutely committed to genuine parts and to continuous improvement and I-CAR is our training provider of choice.”

Damian Cahill, Holden Collision Business Manager, said he was proud to have B&A working so closely with Holden: “It truly is a great partnership and no surprise that they made the commitment to further invest in the business to satisfy Holden’s criteria.” Tony Mazzeo, son of co-founder Bill, reinforced B&A’s focus on quality, highlighting that their processes have inspection procedures every step of the way. “This really gives our clients confidence that we have returned the vehicle to pre-accident condition.”

Filazzola congratulated the Mazzeo family and thanked them for their commitment and support. “It is a really important day and I’m so happy to have been able to be here.”

In accepting the plaque on behalf of the family, Alfredo Mazzeo thanked Filazzola and Cahill, saying it was a great honour to be Holden’s first Certified Collision Repairer. He also pointed out that it was a real team effort, which he emphasised by inviting the entire workshop and office staff for a final photo.
