Axalta supports body shops on their Road To Gold

NCR Axalta Road to Gold

With many leading insurance companies now requiring repairers to have I-CAR Gold Class status, there is a great deal of pressure to achieve this accreditation. To give more insight into the process, Axalta, in conjunction with I- CAR’s Industry Training Alliance, recently held the first of a national series of “Road to Gold” information sessions, in Queensland.

The session focused on providing further information around what exactly Gold Class status is and how Axalta can help achieve it, with it’s I-CAR accredited training courses, including e-learning modules. Mark Czvitkovits, I-CAR CEO and Scott Wiseman, National Key Account Manager at Axalta, led the “Road to Gold” session.

“The sessions are an excellent opportunity for repairers to develop their understanding of the process to become a Gold Class accredited repairer, and the required level of commitment to embark on the journey,” said Wiseman. “Embarking on the journey towards Gold Status can be daunting and having support along the way can be helpful. We believe that the sessions can help our customers secure their future through training and building knowledge.”

Gold Class accreditation involves earning a series of points to achieve and maintain the status. To obtain these points, Axalta offer numerous I-CAR accredited training courses, which accrue I-CAR points upon completion. Axalta’s offer of e-learning modules is unique and allows participants to complete training in a convenient and effective way. This internet-based training includes animations and videos, making course completion an engaging process. Body shop managers can also track progress which provides a sense of control over each staff members training.

Face-to-face national training courses are also held for Axalta brands: Standox, Spies Hecker and Cromax. These courses cover all aspects of vehicle refinishing such as colour training, product training and application techniques. They are conducted by dedicated training specialists, using hands-on, process-orientated refinishing techniques.

Other Road to Gold sessions are scheduled across Australia for later this year and into next year. Training is conducted at seven regional training centres across Australia and New Zealand. For more information on training courses, please contact info-ANZ@axalta.com.
