Improving and maintaining skills is essential to stay competitive, so training should be a part of every refinisher’s professional development. While Axalta’s online training videos were able to bridge training gaps whilst face to face training sessions were unable to proceed during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are happy to announce the return of training sessions in most states, with new dates available now for registration. Axalta has two types of face to face training, with each course run by experts in the field.
For refinishers, product training offers the perfect opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills so you can improve your capability, productivity and performance. As technologies are evolving and new products are constantly being introduced, if you want to be at the top of your game, this training mustn’t be overlooked.
For body shop owners, Axalta Services training will help take your body shop to the next level with courses focusing on Pre-Lean, Lean Foundations and Paint Optimisation. Further to this, Axalta’s Training Alliance with I-CAR means that upon completion of any Axalta Services’ course, participants will be awarded credit that can be applied towards the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals, Platinum Individual designations, or be used to meet role relevant annual training requirements. Each credit point earned will be submitted to I-CAR and recorded on your personal training record.
Paul Polverino, Axalta Training Manager for Australia and New Zealand has been eagerly awaiting the return of training sessions: “Our trainers and training centres are ready to go! The past few months have been challenging for a lot of people and it will be great to give attendees a refresher and a boost as we head into a recovery state from COVID-19. Technology is moving quickly and keeping abreast of the latest processes and products, like Axalta’s patented fast-cure, low-energy system, is crucial if you want to remain ahead of the game at this time.”
Axalta’s training tools help everyone who uses the products and services to do so in the best and most productive way possible. While there may not always be time to spend a day or two away from the body shop on a training course or restrictions may not be allowing sessions to take place in your state, training videos are an invaluable asset. Standox, Spies Hecker and Cromax have a series of training videos which focus on everyday repair methods and guidelines. Experts show the correct use of paint products and application processes, acting as a refresher tool for refinishers who have attended face to face training courses or for those who are unable to make it to a session.
As some restrictions still apply, all sessions will be following government advice in relation to class sizes and strict social distancing protocols. Please note, due to the current situation with COVID-19 in Victoria, training dates have not yet been announced for this state. We are continually monitoring the situation and will announce training dates when possible.
