Automotive Centre of Excellence open for business

NCR ACE

A timely reminder from Kangan Institute.

As you are aware Metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire are now back in Stage 3 lockdown as a direct result of the severity of the spike in COVID-19 cases.

Education is still deemed an essential service and that means we are encouraged by the Government to continue supporting our students to succeed through our offering of quality education. Our dedicated, highly-skilled and professional staff at ACE allows us to continue to deliver training and support to our students during this time.  We will continue to deliver our course content remotely. There will also be times in which our students and teaching staff will need to be on campus each week to engage in practical activities.

The safety of our staff, students and wider community is so important.  We have implemented and tested ways that keeps everyone safe and reduces the chance of COVID-19 spreading across our network. We have a wide range of precautions and these have been in place since early April. We review and adapt these precautions as we need to in order to maintain a safe working environment. These precautions include risk assessments, extensive staff training, ongoing cleaning routines across the campuses, appropriate signage, small group sizes in our workshops,  additional PPE provided (masks, gloves), hand sanitiser and our learning spaces set up to accommodate physical distancing expectations.

The ultimate goal is keeping everyone healthy and safe while on campus.

This will continue to be a challenging time and we acknowledge the return to Stage 3 lockdown restrictions will have wider impacts for people in our networks. We will continue to work hard to support our stakeholders through these unusual times and look forward to seeing our students learn and progress through their studies. Please contact us immediately if you have any concerns, or if your own networks are impacted by COVID-19 so that we can adapt our staff and students’ needs accordingly.
