Australia’s largest repair group has continued its expansion plans with Bundaberg the latest new regional location to add to its network.
AMA Collision’s newest site in Bundaberg, Queensland as part of the company’s strategic expansion into new regions and supporting drivers in regional Queensland.
The special opening follows an expansion by the Ama Group on the Gold Coast in March with the acquisition of Hondat Smash Repairs and the redevelopment and purchase of new sites for its Wales Heavy Repairs division in Darwin and Perth.
Also in 2025 it has expanded it specialised facilities including at Wangara in Western Australia, the latest TrackRight and TechRight sites purpose-built to deliver structural repairs and ADAS solutions.
The plan for the Bundaberg site are for it to cater for at least 30 repair jobs per week and eventually employ 20 staff from the current 14 in place.
Collision standards
AMA Collision Executive General Manager Stuart Faid says it was an exciting time to bring the service to the region.
“This site represents our first entry into a new regional centre, and it’s a key milestone in extending our national footprint,” Faid says.
“In regional areas, access to trusted repairs isn’t just about convenience — it’s about keeping people moving. We’re proud to offer Bundaberg drivers a reliable, high-quality option backed by national systems, local people, and genuine care.”
The 1,586 sqm site has been fitted out to deliver high-quality repairs for all vehicle types, including EVs. It operates to AMA Collision’s national repair standards using OEM-compliant methods and industry-leading equipment.
The business will handle structural and cosmetic repairs and offers a lifetime warranty on all workmanship.
Good for the locals
Faid says the benefits of the expansion to the local community include hiring local talent, AMA as well as engaging Bundaberg-based suppliers and contractors for mechanical services, electrical works and towing
“We’re not just opening a site — we’re investing in the community,” Faid says. “We’re building long-term partnerships with local businesses and giving Bundaberg drivers a repairer they can rely on.”
