AMA Group acquires Western Truck Repairs

NCR AMA acquires Western

The AMA Group has acquired Western Truck Repairs to further expand its coverage in heavy vehicle repairs and services across Australia.

AMA boasts a heavy vehicle national footprint which brings together the best-of-the-best in quality, expertise and excellence in customer service. Western Truck Repairs will join Wales (NSW), Recar (VIC & QLD), Parins (WA) and All Transport (SA) to support our world class National Heavy Vehicle Repair Network.

Darren Wales, AMA’s Heavy Vehicle Division CEO, said he was delighted Western will be joining the Group bringing their superior craftsmanship from an experienced team of repair professionals. “For over 30 years Western has been Victoria’s leading truck repair group and from my team and I we are excited for them to be a part of a quality company like AMA. Western will complement our coverage not only in Victoria, but Australia wide. It’s a ‘one-stop-shop’ for truck, bus & coach repairs.”

Phil Purdy, Western’s Managing Director said: “Our decision to join the AMA Group was not taken lightly. What they bring to the Heavy Vehicle Repair industry is second to none in terms of quality and service. This ensures our client base of over 30 years remain the sole focus, for now and many years to come. Our two other directors, Joe Portelli and Erio Mirra, and I look forward to working with Darren and the whole AMA organisation.”

Wales said AMA has a strong track record of speed and efficiency in delivering operational integration and change, whether it be acquisitions, additional sites or new initiatives. “We are looking forward to welcoming the Western team and they will be a great asset to our business.”
