As part of GUD Automotive, Ryco acquired the IM Group in 2017, a company which manages and distributes leading brands including Goss fuel pumps, coils, sensors, RAE ignition, sensors and injectronics and provides solutions in transport electronics, MAP-Mechatronic Auto Parts and DAT – Diagnostic Auto Tech Equipment to the automotive and transport industry.

A further acquisition late in 2017 brought the well-known and respected AA Gaskets company into the Ryco Group Pty Ltd, formally GUD Automotive Pty Ltd.

AA Gaskets including NZ Gaskets is the leading specialist automotive gasket manufacturer, importer and wholesaler producing proprietary brands such as Permaseal, Permaseal MLS-R and Crossfire, for supply to engine rebuilders, automotive resellers and mechanical workshops throughout Australia and New Zealand. AA Gaskets is positioned as the premium quality supplier of individual gaskets, gasket sets and engine sealing compounds and is led by experienced automotive aftermarket specialist, Jim Conway as General Manager.

Late in the year, GUD Automotive Pty Ltd became RYCO Group Pty Limited, headed by Chief Executive Officer Guy Nicholls, incorporating Ryco Filters, IM Group and AA Gaskets Pty Ltd – Australia and New Zealand. “As part of the Ryco market strategy there will be a continuing development of each range within the group with new products added to each market segment as we further consolidate our market leading position,” said CEO Guy Nicholls.
