FIX AUTO AUSTRALIA APPOINTS YOUTH PROGRAMME LEADER

Terry Feehan, Head of Business for Fix Auto Australia, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Parkinson to the role of Youth Programme Leader for Fix Auto Australia, effective immediately.

In Australia, as in many other countries, Fix Auto has witnessed a significant shortage of young people looking to pursue careers in collision repair. Jack Parkinson’s appointment to the position of Youth Programme Leader is part of Fix Auto’s solution to the industry wide skills crisis. In his role, Jack will be responsible for leading and developing initiatives in Australian schools, colleges and universities, to encourage young people to consider a career in the collision repair industry.

Jack, 18, is himself a student, pursuing a degree in Business, majoring in Management, and was appointed by Terry Feehan, who said: “Jack came to us through a project he was undertaking for his studies. He had shrewdly identified the skills gap that is majorly affecting our industry and immediately identified solutions. We knew then that that he would be the right person to inspire and communicate with young people looking to enter the job market.”

Jack, passionate about cars, has embraced the collision repair industry, saying: “I am excited about my new role at Fix Auto, as it adds another level of experience, knowledge and personal challenge to my career. Fix Auto understands the importance of youth in their organisation and is committed to finding solutions to the industry’s skill and recruitment shortage. Working with this leading business, with mentors like David Lingham, Terry Feehan and Steve Leal, is a great career opportunity.”
