Hot Rod & Custom Expo a winner

The annual Hot Rod & Custom Expo held on 13th and 14th May, 2017 at Rosehill Racecourse in Sydney was a big hit with attendees once again.

As well as a huge display of cars, trucks and bikes over three halls plus an outside area there were demonstrations of pinstriping, airbrushing and special techniques from local professionals as well as of course the added attraction of the special visitors from the USA.

The visitors from the USA, Gene Winfield, Charley Hutton, Jimmy Shine and Tom Kelly were kept very busy over the two days with demonstrations, interviews with John McCoy-Lancaster (who did an outstanding job!) and autograph sessions as well as talking to the many attendees who wanted to ask questions and share their own stories!

If music and memorabilia was your bag then live music, an excellent DJ and many booths selling memorabilia and clothing were all there.

Industry suppliers such as 3M, PPG and Mothers all had excellent displays and of course Mark and Chris Williams from Lowbake Australia put the icing on the cake with their mobile spray booth making the trip from Melbourne to ensure that paint demonstrations took place in ideal conditions. The US visitors all agreed that having a spray booth such as the one provided by Lowbake was something that they really appreciated.

Andy and Donna Minus and their team are to be congratulated for once again putting together a world class event. Take a look at a selection of photographs below from the weekend and look out for a full report in the June 2017 issue of the National Collision Repairer magazine.
