A capacity crowd of more than 200 invited guests and members attended the National launch of the Car Craft Group in Adelaide at the National Wine Centre on Tuesday 16th February, 2016.

It was the perfect location for the launch and a great example of the industry coming together and networking with suppliers and insurers mixing with Car Craft members and some of their team.

The evening was capably handled by Rob Olsen, the General Manager of Car Craft SA who introduced Tony Bava, the Chairman of Car Craft SA and keynote speaker Andrew Fagan, the CEO of the Adelaide Crows who both made excellent speeches to attendees.

It was then time to introduce Wayne Phipps, the Chairman Car Craft Holdings from WA who talked about the history of Car Craft and the plans for the group which already has a footprint in WA, Queensland  and South Australia. He talked about their the plans for National expansion and welcomed two new shops into the group from the ACT. He also highlighted that it is more important than ever that individual shop owners become involved in a group or association as this will be critical to their survival with the industry experiencing great and fast moving change.

On screen testimonials and a new advertising campaign were shown to conclude the formal part of the evening with attendees staying on to network with their peers from all around Australia.

Editor: It was particularly pleasing to see such a good turnout for this industry event. I certainly agree with Wayne Phipps’ comments and urge shop owners to seriously look at their future in the industry with the speed of change, consolidation and insurer activity which will not slow down anytime soon.
