David Newton-Ross has been involved in the collision repair industry for more than 30 years both in Australia and the USA. He has worked as a writer, has experience in advertising sales and managed other industry magazines.
His knowledge of the industry plus his industry contacts throughout Australia and overseas markets, especially the US are second to none. He has been a guest speaker at NACE (National Autobody Congress & Exposition – USA) which is one of the largest expos for the collision repair industry in the world on many occasions. He has also been a guest speaker at IBIS (International Bodyshop Industry Symposium) which is an annual forum for the industry that meets in various European locations.
He also runs his own marketing company, Newton International Marketing and the CRSA (Collision Repair Specialists of Australia) a successful and select group of industry professionals which includes forward thinking shop owners and pro-active service providers from around Australia. He has a Marketing Diploma from the University of NSW.

Chris Stone has been in the graphic design/media/newspaper industry for more than 36 years. In that time, he has designed and managed magazines for Federal Publishing Co, ACP Publications and Universal Magazines (the leading three publishers in Australia). At Universal Magazines he was also the founder of the very successful 4WD Monthly magazine. In 1980 he completed a graduate course in marketing at Sydney University. He has been a national marketing manager for TJM Products (Brisbane) and 4WD Megastores (Sydney). For the last 10 years he has run his own company, Stone Dezine specialising in retail and trade magazines.

Col Jackson has been in the media/newspaper business for over 40 years. He was with the Motor Trades Association of Queensland as their Media Manager for more than 10 years and is currently a freelance journalist and has his own company, Rite Impressions.
He covers assignments from all over Australia to bring to The National Collision Repairer his unique journalistic style and knowledge of the automotive industry in this country. He was approached some time ago to write a book on the “Centenary of Road Transport in Australia” and the book is currently in print.

John Yoswick has been writing about the collision repair industry since 1989, including as a full-time freelance writer since 1991. His work is regularly published in about two dozen regional and national publications and websites in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. In early 2008, he acquired CRASH Network, becoming editor and publisher of the independent weekly bulletin established in 1994 that now has a subscription base that includes top executives from shops, insurers and industry suppliers. John holds a journalism degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

John Stanley has been a fulltime writer since 1997 focusing almost solely on the automotive industry and, in particular, the collision repair industry. Since 2001 he has held the role of editor for PPG Industries’ magazine, The Refinisher, and was also the editor of HSV’s magazine, Excelerate, for a period of five years. Over his writing career John has produced a wide variety of written material for various publications and organizations, including GM Opel, GM Vauxhall, GM Holden, Honda, HSV and PPG Industries. John is a qualified motor mechanic and earlier in his career held the role of Fleet Manager for a large national vehicle fleet.

Jordan Hendler began a career in the collision industry in 1998 as an administrative assistant for Concepts, Inc., which was the administrator for a national collision tradeshow, Collision Concepts. Shortly thereafter, Concepts, Inc. became the administrative support for the national collision association Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS). Also working with the National Auto Body Council and Collision Industry Conference (CIC), Jordan has gained insight into collision repair markets and trends across the United States. Currently, Ms. Hendler serves as the executive director for the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA), a regional association in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC. WMABA has a forty year history of tackling collision repairer issues both locally and at the national level, as well as publishing the Hammer & Dolly magazine. Jordan participates in national industry forums such as SCRS and CIC to address issues and try to affect positive change for collision repairers.

Owen Webb has been in the Automotive Industry for 35 years. He started his panelbeating / spraypainting apprenticeship at 17 realizing this was the future for him. He liked it all but enjoyed painting more and focused on that owning his first business at 22 years of age. This was where he developed a passion for restoring and customizing cars which has stayed with him through other businesses. After 15 years he sold his shop and started working for ICI Dulux demonstrating the “new” 2 pack paint. After 10 years with ICI where he finished up as the Commercial Transport manager he moved onto his real passion; demonstration, selling and training House of Kolor custom paints. He has travelled through the US, S E Asia and Australia setting up distribution and training HOK. He is currently working with Motoractive, looking after HOK in Australia and running their show program including MotorEx the largest indoor show in Australia. This brings together all the best aspects of the automotive industry showing exciting cars, bikes and connected businesses. He has also been involved with Summernats, Meguiars Superstars and several other shows judging the best cars in Australia. He enjoys judging, training and being involved with these cars and supporting the whole custom industry passing on his knowledge and skills as well as writing for the magazine of course!

Mark Pulham has been in the industry since starting out as an apprentice panel beater and spray painter more than 44 years ago. He started his own business as a one man operation straight after finishing his apprenticeship and still runs his successful family business, Mark Pulham Panel Beating in Mona Vale, Sydney not far from where he started. He is passionate about the industry and likes nothing better than providing help and advice to others in the industry with handy tips and products designed to make business easier and efficient as well as profitable! Through his regular column in the magazine he has come to be known as “The Gadget Man” and is a welcome presenter of information and products at industry meetings and seminars.
